KUCHING: The new New Zealand High Commissioner Geoff Randall during his visit
here on Aug. 21 and 22, launched the Centre's website www.nzcentre.biz.
The NZ Centre is at Jalan Utama in the Pending industrial estate.
The centre's website provides updated information on education and business on
New Zealand and Sarawak. It provides regular updates on matters related to New
Zealand and the region.
One of the features of the website is that the updates are regularly done almost
every few hours. The website also provides information on studying in New
Zealand universities, institutions and schools.
NZ Centre is not only an official representative in Malaysia for New Zealand
universities, it also represents a number of reputable institutes of technology
and high quality schools in that country.
Randall, during his visit to NZ Centre, said he was impressed with his first
visit to Sarawak and on the strength and quality of connections which exists
between Sarawak and New Zealand.
He also said he found the high level of enthusiasm that Sarawakians have with
New Zealand, including Sarawak New Zealand Graduates Association (SNZGA), the
Malaysia New Zealand Business Council MNZBC-Sarawak) and the centre.
Randall was on an introductory visit to Sarawak. During his visit, he called on
the Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin;
the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud; Tourism
Minister Datuk Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Social Development and
Urbanisation Minister Datuk Sri Dr. James Masing. Masing later hosted a lunch to
